This whole set up was perfect for me to start brewing beer and finding a new hobby i thoroughly enjoy
I began brewing with this equipment and I am glad I didn't do it with 5 gallon buckets. It's amazing to watch the process with the clear plastic fermenter. The trub settles easily to the bottom and makes for easy bottling and even easier clean up. I've already asked my wife for a second one for Christmas :)
This was my very first attempt for a home brew. I followed the instructions and now I enjoy a great beer. Very easy to do.
This product is the best on the market..... As a novice home Brewer this product is easy to use and has many different beers kits to choose from. I would recommend this to anyone as its well worth the cost. After using it for about 5 months I bought my brother one for Christmas and shipped it to him in Seattle. He been raving about it ever sense.... Great Product
My husband and I have done home brewing the "traditional" way with two 6 gallon glass carboys. The Catalyst is a huge time saver, allowing us to brew and wait, without the hassle of transferring from one carboy to the next. There IS a learning curve to this if you're used to brewing with traditional carboys, but it didn't take us long at all to adjust our processes to this system. If you are debating about this system, stop. Just buy it, brew, and enjoy.

Has pretty much everything you need and the design is unique.
Craft a Brew is definitely a company I can stand behind. They offered a military discount and are one of the few companies that offer shipping to military APO addresses.
Makes brewing and bottling a snap.
I have always been interested in brewing beer, and have several friends that are into the hobby, but never got started because I was leery of all the potential areas where you can make a mess or big mistake and waste your time and effort. When I saw the Catalyst, though, I knew I had a chance to start with an innovative product that takes lets you focus on the fun parts and worry less about all the minutiae that surrounds the hobby. The best part of the system is the Trub Trap and the way it lets you collect and remove the sediment from the tank, bypassing the need for a bottling bucket. The fact the entire process is self contained in one vessel also reduces the risk of contamination, since there are less things requiring sanitizing. The biggest bummer is actually for established brewers, since they likely have all the tools the Catalyst replaces already. Unless you are looking to replace your equipment for whatever reason, this probably isn't the best deal for you.
I've made 2 batches. This works great.
