Lauren Herzak-Bauman's Studio is located in Lakewood, a suburb just outside of Cleveland. Lauren’s studio is in an old screw factory, with tall warehouse windows and high ceilings that fill the industrial space with light. Lauren found clay at a young age and studied ceramics in school. Her love for midcentury art and minimalism led her towards making sculpture. After moving back to her hometown of Cleveland, Ohio in 2013 without a job, she began to make pottery with the intention of selling at local farmer’s markets. Her work quickly took off and she found herself working as an artist full time, using her sculptural background to inform her pottery. She loves that art takes her in so many directions and continues to make and exhibit her sculptural work.
