Cindy Hatch grew up in the Utah desert surrounded by the natural beauty of mountains, plateaus, and breathtaking red rock vistas. As a child, she loved spending summer vacations hiking and exploring in Zion National Park. Every summer she would add to her rock collection. She gave each rock a name and story, always curious about how they were formed. After 14 years of teaching elementary school science, Cindy became a full-time mom. Her beautiful bookends were born when she fell in love with Brazilian agate, buried in the earth for millions of years awaiting her artist's eye.
